Abby & Ethan | A Rainy Langdon Farms Wedding

Last November, we had the opportunity to photograph Abby and Ethan’s wedding day. It was a stormy day at Langdon Farms, but there was no raining on this sweet couple’s parade! It was such a joy getting to meet their sweet family members and friends who made their wedding day so special. And of course, we loved getting to know Abby and Ethan, who had booked us only a few weeks prior to their wedding date. With last minute bookings, we’re not always sure what we’re walking into. But when we arrived, Abby and Ethan were so kind and welcoming! Working with them felt perfectly natural, despite having just met.

When asked what she was most looking forward to on her wedding day, Abby said “walking down the aisle”. The couple decided to save their first look for their ceremony, which made their walk down the aisle all the more special to witness. Earlier in the day, Abby and Ethan also shared a “first touch”. A first touch allows the bride and groom to hold hands and share a moment together without seeing each other. It was incredibly sweet to watch, and the photos turned out to be some of my favorites from the entire day.

Abby and Ethan’s wedding day started out mostly dry, but as the ceremony started, it began to rain. It would continue to rain the rest of the afternoon and evening, without leaving us much of a break for portraits. We were able to capture most of the wedding and family photos under cover, and thankfully we had some clear umbrellas on hand as well. Abby and Ethan were wonderful sports, and they were more than willing to trek into the rain and mud for their portraits. Their photos turned out beautiful and serve as a great reminder that in Oregon, the rain waits for no one.

A few months have passed since their wedding date, but I loved getting to look back through all of the photos. We are so grateful we got to be a part of Abby and Ethan’s special day, and we hope their marriage overflows with love and happiness. Congratulations (again) you two! 💕
