This past weekend, I had the opportunity to meet Angelica from Anela Events for a little headshot session, which was so much fun! Angelica is a wedding and event planner in the Eugene area, and I have been following her impressive work on Instagram for the past few months. One of my favorite parts about being a wedding photographer is getting to meet other professionals in the industry, and headshot / branding sessions are such a fun way do to this!
It’s always fun to collaborate with other creatives, and working with Angelica was no exception. When we were planning her session, Angelica said she wanted to incorporate a lot of white into her images. Of course, I was all in for that! I’m a sucker for clean white backgrounds and soft colors. After brainstorming for a bit, we ended up finding some pretty buildings downtown to work with, and I was so happy with how well it worked out. Culling my favorites was no easy task, because I loved almost all of them!
Angelica started her wedding and event planning business in Eugene about five months ago, and I have seen such beautiful work from her since then. Angelica said she has always had a passion for event and wedding planning, which made starting her business an easy decision. After spending the last four years as an event planner for her college and graduating with her Bachelor’s Degree, Angelica decided to pursue her dream with Anela Events.
“The term “Anela” originated from the Hawaiian language meaning “Angel”. In saying that, angels appear to those in need in order to comfort and lead them in the right direction while carrying the quality of being a ‘life saver’. My passion for Anela Events is derived from this exact concept in order to service those who are in need. My goal is to provide a heartfelt and stress free process in helping those to develop their seamless vision into a memorable event!”
Ever since starting her business, Angelica has loved getting to meet newly engaged couples, sharing in their excitement for their big day, and turning her clients’ Pinterest boards into their dream weddings. She has also enjoyed participating in styled shoots and getting to meet local wedding vendors in the Eugene area.
When she’s not working, you can find Angelica spending time with her fiancé (that’s right—she’s also planning her own wedding!), and catching up on Netflix shows. She and her fiancé enjoy going to local wineries, exploring Oregon, and trying new places to eat!
So without further ado, here are some of my favorite images from her headshot session! And if you’re in need of a wedding or event planner, you should definitely check out Anela Events at her website, here: https://www.anelaevents.com
